TIB Announces Expansion of Investment Team

DALLAS, TX…TIB-The Independent BankersBank announced today the hiring of five experienced and highly-respected officers for its investment arm, TIB Capital Markets. The latest additions make for a total of six new staff members added to the Capital Markets team in just the past two months, nearly doubling the current sales and trading staff.

Wayne Boydston has joined TIB Capital Markets as Senior Vice President for Investment Sales.  He specializes in the sale of fixed income instruments and works with financial institutions in multiple states.  His banking career spans more than 40 years and includes more than two decades at a Dallas-based investment firm, as well as 18 years with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas.  Wayne earned a Finance degree from the University of Central Arkansas and is a graduate of the University of Texas Thrift and Savings Institution Graduate Banking Program as well as Merrill Lynch’s Capital Markets School in New York.

Mikell Tomlinson joined TIB Capital Markets also as Senior Vice President for Investment Sales.  Mikell has 25 years of experience in the community banking industry, spending the previous 22 years with a Dallas-based investment firm.  While there, he created the Wholesale Growth Model for banks to utilize excess capital to generate additional earnings.  He also specializes in analyzing MBS, CMOs, SBAs, agency debt, municipal debt, corporate debt, derivatives and alternative assets for community banks. In addition, he served at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas in various capacities.  He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington and holds a B.S. in Economics.

Michael Boydston joined TIB Capital Markets as Vice President of Investment Sales.  He also came to TIB from a Dallas-based investment firm, where he served for 5 years.  Michael works with financial institutions in the areas of wholesale leverage, bond and portfolio analysis and asset/liability management. He earned a degree in Finance from Texas Tech University.

Melissa Mainini will serve as Vice President/Municipal and Government Fixed Income Trader for TIB Capital Markets.  Melissa has nearly two decades of experience in the financial services industry in both Texas and Tennessee.  She has spent the past 16 years in the negotiation and trading of municipal bonds in the fixed income market.  Melissa earned a degree in Finance at West Texas State University, where she also co-captained the school’s National Championship volleyball team.

Sarah “Sally” Robinson has joined TIB Capital Markets as Vice President and Investment Strategies Analyst.  Sally’s investment career spans more than 30 years, working in numerous markets, including New York and London.  She has spent the past 20 years with a financial services firm in Miami, producing key analysis, leverage strategy development, client prospecting and more.  She holds a BA in Economics from Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT.
