TIB Announces Officer Promotions

DALLAS, TX…TIB, N.A., announced several officer promotions today.

Those being elevated to Executive Vice President are as follows:

• Alicia Garrison:  Ms. Garrison was promoted to Executive Vice President and retained the title of Chief Credit Officer and Deputy Chief Risk Officer for TIB. She will now serve on TIB’s Executive Team. She joined TIB in 2006 as a Credit Analyst and earned a BA in Finance from North Texas University. She is a graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking and the Texas Tech School of Banking.
   
• Michael C. O’Rourke:  Mr. O’Rourke was promoted to Executive Vice President and added the title of Director of Strategic Initiatives, while retaining the title of Deputy Chief Lending Officer. He will join TIB’s Executive Team. Mr. O’Rourke earned a BBA in Finance from Texas Tech University and is a graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at SMU, the Texas Tech School of Banking, the IBAT Lending Institute, and the Texas Bankers Association Management Development Program. He started his TIB career in 2007 as a summer intern, working his way up to Correspondent Office/Lender and eventually into executive management.
   
• Travis Stephens:  Mr. Stephens was promoted to Executive Vice President and added the title of Assistant Deputy Chief Lending Officer, while retaining his current title of Director of Correspondent Relations. He served as a Lending Officer before being asked to oversee the bank’s Correspondent Relations department in 2024. Mr. Stephens earned a BA in Finance from Angelo State University in San Angelo, TX. He is also a graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at SMU, the Texas Tech School of Banking, the IBAT Lending Institute, the Texas Bankers Association Management Development Program, and the Buckley School of Public Speaking.
   
• Jennifer Becherer:  Ms. Becherer has been elevated to Board Secretary, retaining her previous duties as Senior Vice President and Director of Partner Relations (HR). She will serve on TIB’s Executive Team. Ms. Becherer joined TIB in 2020 and earned a BSS in Social Sciences and English from Southern Methodist University and a Master’s in Finance from East Texas A&M University.
   
• Lyle Walden:  Mr. Walden has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer for TIB and will now serve on TIB’s Executive Team. His banking career spans more than 40 years, the last 37 of which have been at TIB, where he has overseen the bank’s IT Division.
   
• Greg Todd:  Mr. Todd was promoted to President of The Bank CEO Network, transitioning from 27 years as Director of Marketing and Communications for TIB. He joined TIB in 1998. Mr. Todd earned a BA in Public Relations from Texas Tech University and is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, the ABA Bank Marketing School, and the Texas Bankers Association Management Development Program. The Bank CEO Network is the nation’s premier peer group organization, with more than 250 community bank C-suite executives from nearly 30 states. TIB purchased the Network in January of 2024.
   
• Erik Brizendine:  Mr. Brizendine has been promoted to Deputy Chief Technology Officer. He has been with TIB for 20 years, initially joining the bank as part of its acquisition of the Western States Bankcard Association.

In addition, the following officer promotions were also announced:

• Candice Nelson:  Ms. Nelson has been promoted to Senior Vice President and serves as Director of Investment Operations for TIB. She joined TIB in 2011 and oversees the bank’s substantial Safekeeping and Portfolio Accounting operations.
   
• Kim Timmons:  Ms. Timmons has been promoted to Senior Vice President of TIB Consulting Solutions. She joined TIB in 2023. Ms. Timmons earned a BBA in Finance from Texas Tech University. She is also a graduate of the Texas Tech School of Banking.
   
• Mason Davis:  Mr. Davis was promoted to First Vice President/Corporate Risk. He joined TIB as a summer intern in 2018 and earned a BBA in Finance at Texas Tech University.
   
• Kara Ellis:  Ms. Ellis has been elevated to First Vice President for The Bank CEO Network. She joined TIB in 2008 and earned both BBA and Master’s Degrees from American InterContinental University.
   
• Anavel Martinez:  Ms. Martinez was promoted to First Vice President for TIB Merchant Services.
   
• Ben Melican:  Mr. Melican was promoted to First Vice President for TIB Consulting Solutions. TIB Consulting Solutions is the Loan Review and Compliance arm for TIB.
   
• Rudy Ortega:  Mr. Ortega was promoted to First Vice President for TIB Card Services. He joined TIB in 2014 and attended the University of Miami.
   
• Barbara Redd:  Ms. Redd was promoted to First Vice President of Credit Administration. She has been with TIB for 11  years.
   
• Payne Sullins:  Mr. Sullins was promoted to First Vice President and Correspondent Officer. He joined TIB in 2021 and earned a BA in Economics from Texas Tech University and an MBA from Angelo State University.
   
• Kasi Sunden:  Ms. Sunden was promoted to First Vice President of Lending Administration.
   
• Jennifer Winters:  Ms. Winters was promoted to First Vice President of TIB Card Services.
   
• Ashley Tartt:  Ms. Tartt was promoted to Vice President of TIB Card Services.
   
• Sheryce Jacobs:  Ms. Jacobs was promoted to Banking Officer for Investment Operations.
   
• Gloria Skwierczynski:  Ms. Skwierczynski was promoted to Banking Officer for Loan Operations.
